Secondary Scraper Cleaner — a 2nd-stage scraper fitted just behind the primary with a finer blade to lift the thin residual film the first stage cannot reach. It finishes the belt to near-dry, preventing fine buildup on return idlers and structure that leads to mistracking and premature wear.

Polyurethane suits most dry and medium-abrasive ores; tungsten or ceramic-tipped blades are best for very hard, wet and sticky materials.
