Plastic Dust Seal — a moulded, usually polyethylene, labyrinth seal inside the idler bearing housing that blocks dust and moisture while letting the shaft turn. In dry, abrasive plants a good seal is what lets an idler reach its full bearing life instead of seizing from ingress.

TK vs DTII housing: which pattern do I need?
TK is the common CIS and mining pattern; DTII is the Chinese national belt-conveyor standard. Choose the pattern your idler was built to.
Are HBXM housings interchangeable with original rolls?
Yes, our TK and DTII housings are dimensioned to standard shaft and bore sizes so they drop into existing idler assemblies.
How do I match a housing to my idler?

What is a pillow block bearing?
A pillow block bearing is a bearing set in a cast or stamped housing that bolts to a frame. In belt conveyors the same stamped housing (TK or DTII pattern) seals the idler bearing inside the roll.
What is the difference between a pillow block and a flanged bearing?
A pillow block mounts through bolt holes in its base to a flat surface; a flanged bearing mounts through its round flange to a face. Choose based on your frame geometry and the direction of the load.
