Usage
Polyurethane Belt Cleaner (secondary) — a second PU-blade scraper, usually mounted just behind the primary cleaner to skim the thin residual film the first pass leaves. Together the two stages bring the belt to near-dry, cutting the carryback that would cake onto pulleys, idlers and walkways.

Polyurethane suits most dry and medium-abrasive ores; tungsten or ceramic-tipped blades are best for very hard, wet and sticky materials.

Why fit a secondary cleaner at all?
A primary scraper removes roughly 70–80% of carry-back. The remaining film is what builds up on return idlers and misaligns the belt, so a secondary cleaner pays for itself in idler and belt life.
Where exactly does the secondary cleaner go?
Under the head pulley, behind the primary, on the return strand — at a point where the belt is still supported and the blades can be inspected safely.
Is polyurethane or tungsten carbide better?
Polyurethane is gentler on the cover and better for medium abrasion; carbide lasts longer in high-abrasion duty but needs a sound belt cover to run against.
