Usage
HDPE (Polyethylene) Idler — a lightweight idler with a polyethylene shell that will not rust or conduct. For wet, coastal, chemical or underground (non-spark) duty it outlasts steel and cuts rotating mass, lowering belt pull and noise.

Technical overview
Idlers are the rotating rollers that support the conveyor belt and the bulk load traveling on it. HBXM idlers cover belt widths up to 2400 mm and trough angles of 20 deg, 35 deg or 45 deg, with multi-labyrinth sealed bearings built for continuous duty in dust, moisture and fine powder.
Why use a self-aligning idler?
A self-aligning idler automatically corrects belt mistracking, reducing edge wear, spillage and unplanned downtime.
What bearing seals does HBXM use?
We use non-contact multi-labyrinth seals that keep grease in and keep dust, water and fine powder out for a long service life.

Frequently asked questions
Will a plastic conveyor belt roller carry the same load as a steel one?
On light and medium duty, yes — the UHMWPE shell carries the same belt weight and runs quieter. On heavy duty conveyor rollers the gain is different: the roller weighs a fraction of steel, so bearing load and starting torque both fall.
Do plastic rollers wear faster than steel?
The shell wears differently rather than faster. UHMWPE is soft enough to be non-marking, so it protects the belt cover, but it scores in sharp, hot or highly abrasive duty — use steel there and keep plastic for wet, sticky and corrosive service.
Which sizes and shaft types can you supply?
