Usage
Belt Speed Monitor (Zero-Speed Switch) — a sensor on a non-drive pulley, usually the tail, that watches belt speed and trips the stop if the belt stalls or drops below a set speed while the drive is still running. A stalled belt under a running drive piles material, overheats and can tear or start a fire at the drive; this switch catches that failure before it escalates. Indispensable on inclined, long or unattended conveyors.

How does a pull-cord switch work?
A tensioned cable runs the conveyor length; pulling it anywhere latches the switch and cuts power to the drive through your shutdown logic.
Are these devices explosion-proof?
We offer Ex d and Ex ib rated units for coal, grain and other hazardous areas; specify your zone when ordering.
Can they connect to an existing PLC?
Yes. Our switches output dry contacts or 4-20 mA signals that drop into standard PLC and relay shutdown circuits.
