How do I match a drive to my conveyor?
Size by required belt pull and speed: calculate motor power from tonnage, lift and friction, then select gear ratio and coupling to handle start-up torque.

弹性联轴器
Flexible shaft couplings that absorb shock and misalignment between motor and gearbox. They protect both from the torque spikes a loaded belt produces at start-up, and take up the small angular and radial offset left by installation.

Overview
Usage
Flexible (Elastic) Coupling — a rubber-element coupling between motor and gearbox that tolerates shaft misalignment and soaks up shock and torsional spikes. It protects the reducer and motor from vibration and overload, and damps the start-up jolt on long, heavy conveyors. (It buffers but does not limit torque — that is the torque limiter's job.)
Operating conditions
| Working temperature | Ambient range (-20 °C to +40 °C); gearbox, motor and brake per their own rating — confirm for extreme sites. |
|---|---|
| Dusty environment | Suitable — IP55 / IP65 motors and sealed gearboxes rated for dusty plant duty |
| Moisture & water | Suitable — IP65 motors and sealed gearboxes for outdoor, port and washdown duty |
| Corrosive environment | Powder-coated for ordinary acid or alkali · Galvanized for coastal and semi-outdoor · Stainless for high-salinity and high-humidity sites |
| Certification | MA coal-mine safety certified versions available — confirm the certified SKUs for your project |
| Outdoor use | Suitable — coated and stainless options for coastal and weathering service |
Drive components deliver power from the motor to the pulley. HBXM supplies gearmotors, fluid and grid couplings, and brake units selected to match belt tension, torque and starting load for reliable starts under full burden.

It soft-starts the motor under heavy load, limits inrush current and protects the gearbox from shock during acceleration.
On inclined conveyors a brake holds the loaded belt stationary when stopped, preventing rollback and protecting the coupling and structure.
Yes. We bundle motor, gearbox, coupling and brake with the drive pulley so the power train is matched and tested as one set.
A torque limiter sits between the gearbox and the drive pulley and slips or disengages when torque spikes, protecting the gearbox, shaft and belt from jams and overload.
Size the conveyor belt motor from belt speed, capacity, lift, friction and starting load, then add margin for cold starts and heavy bulk. We match motor and gearbox to your duty cycle.
